Scott Popilek named CEO of King Risk Partners

US insurance brokerage King Risk Partners has announced the appointment of Scott Popilek as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Malcolm “Chad” King, Founder of King Risk Partners, will assume the position of Chairman while continuing his existing responsibilities, including leading the firm’s mergers and acquisitions strategy.

King will work closely with Popilek and the broader leadership team to guide strategic direction, support company culture, and continue bringing new community-focused agency partners to the firm.

Popilek brings nearly three decades of industry experience. He joins King Risk Partners from Risk Strategies Company, where he spent almost nine years, most recently as Managing Director – Atlantic Regional Leader, successfully expanding operations across multiple markets.

Prior to that, Popilek served as Senior Vice President at Marsh, and also held leadership roles at USI Insurance Services, Willis, Lassiter Ware Insurance, and Brown & Brown.
