No one expects the Spanish Inquisition. And you also don’t expect to leave your headlights on when you’re on a remote Delaware hilltop with no phone service. I’m telling you, you haven’t lived until you’re walking around a former superfund site trying to find a single cell-phone bar.
What I did eventually is I flagged down a passing pickup truck. And what he had was a portable jumpstarter from Gooloo—a wee powerpack jumpstarter so small it can fit under your front seat, but powerful enough to bring back my car from the dead.
After I thanked the driver, I went right to an auto shop, and I bought this Gooloo A3 3000-amp jumpstarter—the lowest-budget, lowest charge jumpstarter in their line, but still enough charge to bring a ’95 Land Cruiser back to life twice in the same day.
