Sompo, a global provider of property, casualty, and specialty re/insurance, has announced the appointment of Cédric Wells as Head of Claims, Insurance, Continental Europe, effective immediately.
In his new role, Wells will leverage his 25 years of industry experience to lead claims relationships and strategy for the firm’s Continental Europe region.
He will be based in Paris and report to Emilie Hungenberg, Head of Strategy, Insurance, Continental Europe.
Wells is joining Sompo from Swiss Re, where he most recently served as Head of Claims France, Iberia and Italy, a position he held for 13 years.
The executive’s career has been focused on claims leadership roles at major international re/insurers, which also include his position as Legal & Claims Manager with French reinsurer SCOR.
