US based parametric insurer and reinsurer, NormanMax Insurance Holdings, has appointed experienced reinsurance and retrocession broker, Nick Griffiths, as its new Chief Revenue Officer.

Parametric re/insurer NormanMax appoints Nick Griffiths as Chief Revenue OfficerAs reported by our sister publication, Artemis, Griffiths will work across all of NormanMax’s platforms, bringing his more than 27 years of industry experience to the firm as it continues to grow following its 2023 launch.

Griffiths spent 11 years at broking group Gallagher, and joined RFIB Group in 2008, becoming the firm’s Head of Broking for the Reinsurance Division in 2017.

In 2019, he joined broker Howden, and after more than two years moved to Price Forbes Re as a Director, where he departed earlier this year.

Speaking with Artemis, Bradley I. Meier, Chief Executive Officer of NormanMax Insurance Holdings, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Nick to NormanMax as our Chief Revenue Officer. His deep expertise across reinsurance, retrocession, and parametric risk transfer makes him uniquely suited to help accelerate our global growth.

“Nick’s ability to bridge traditional and alternative markets, combined with his long-standing relationships in the Lloyd’s and ILS ecosystems, will be instrumental as we expand the NormanMax platform across insurance, reinsurance, and capital markets.”

As mentioned, NormanMax has been growing strongly since its inception, and in late 2023, received ‘approval in principle’ from the specialist Lloyd’s re/insurance marketplace to launch parametric Syndicate 3939, which, in 2024, it officially launched in partnership with Apollo.

Earlier this year, NormanMax acquired FloodFlash, the parametric flood insurance provider with sensor technology, and has also made other appointments, including Samuel Broomer and Yong Li.
