Hannover Re appoints new General Manager for Life & Health in Malaysia

Hannover Re, the reinsurance company, has announced the appointment of Kantaporn Thejatunga (Jan) as General Manager of Life & Health at its Malaysian Branch in Kuala Lumpur.

Thejatunga will be responsible for driving Hannover Re’s strategic initiatives and expanding its footprint across key markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, while supporting continued growth in other parts of the region.

The company’s Life & Health division remains focused on developing long-term relationships with clients, delivering tailored solutions, and contributing to sustainable market development throughout Asia.

She joined Hannover Re in 2018 as a Business Development Actuary for the Thai market, following her early career as a Pricing Actuary. Thejatunga holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Mahidol University and Curtin University.

She takes over from Soeren Kruse, who was appointed Head of Life & Health Southern & Eastern Asia earlier this year.
